  1. Elsewhere Artist Collaborative Says:

    Dear We are Here,

I am emailing your archive to say hello from Elsewhere Artist Collaborative in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina. We are a group of intellectuals, artists, curators, and vagabonds–directed by Duke graduates George Scheer and Stephanie Sherman– promoting psychogeography as an evolving critical practice, among a host of other activities on and off the grid.

Elsewhere is a non-profit established in 2003 in Greensboro inside and around a 12,000 sq.ft former thrift-store. We are open to the public, free of charge, seasonally. Although the directors are in constant contact on the net. Elsewhere uses the collection passed down from the former tenants– a packed-archive of Americana that fills every square foot of the space– as media for a constantly changing installation, living museum and map of the various histories of the interior and city, as well as the shifting visions of residents, staff, and visitors. We are used to hosting other collectives/group exhibitions and should We Are Here ever venture South, or should you be interested in a collaboration, surely contact us or drop in.

    Great work, by the way!

    Sincerely,
    Saralee Gallien
